What you have all been waiting for...

All the stuff I made for Christmas! Now that all the gifts have been received I can post them. Here is the quilt I made for my mother, I was SO worried about getting this done and really is wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be.
I embroidered this poem

Then on each of the plain squares I traced all the grand kids hands and had them write their names. I traced their names and embroidered those on there too. My mother got all teary eyed when she opened it and has shown it off to all her friends.

I made my dad this huge Boise State Broncos blanket. He LOVES that it covers him from head to toe and keeps him toasty warm!

Christmas PJ's

Here are Maddie's, I made coordinating shirts to go with them.

Bailey's has a skull on her shirt to compliment the skull pattern on the pants.

Kodie's has skulls on them but the hearts stood out so much more so she has a heart on her shirt.

and last but not least the little poser, I think hers are my fav!

Here are a couple of headbands that I made for some girls that do some great stuff with Bailey and Kodie

Here are the purses that I made for my nieces. The blue one is for my oldest niece and the pink one if for my youngest niece.

Here I made some pillowcases for my nephews

I didn't get pictures of my brothers etched glasses or his fiance's apron but they too were enjoyed!

Birthday Pajamas and Teacher Christmas gifts

So for every ones birthday I got flannel really cheap last Thanksgiving and planned it out for the year. Well somehow my brother was overlooked and I had to get flannel the other day but here are his pants. My dads pjs have golf balls all over them
So for Christmas I usually try and make stuff but this year I found these cute lotion packs pretty inexpensive at Bath and Body Works so here they are

This I made for Bailey's Student teacher Mr. Martin full of hugs and kisses. His last day was today so we wanted to send him off with hugs and kisses!

Then here are the little paper mugs I made for the bus driver, the secretary and all the special teachers the girls have like art, music, pe, library and such. They are filled with cocoa packets, marshmallows and hugs and kisses.

Hope everyone enjoys their stuff!

Advent activities

This is what we made today. We always have to have popcorn garland on our tree to give it that homemade feeling, it just wouldn't be Christmas without it!

Still makin stuff!

I know I haven't been good about updating but yes I have been busy making things still! I made pajama pants for my nephews, Lizards for Clay and football for Tyler. They apparently wear them all the time!
Here are a few of the Halloween things I made. I also made trick or treat bags for the girls but didn't get a picture of them and they are now packed away.

Fun little buckets for Halloween treats for the girls teachers.

Here is a terrible picture of the scrapbook page I made for our club. I think it's really cute!!

Well I'll try and be better about updating as I am always making something! And with Christmas coming I should have lots in store!

More skirts for the big girls

So these are skirts that I modified from this pattern http://grandrevivaldesign.typepad.com/photos/ruffled_skirts_tutorial/index.html
I found that tutorial on. The one provided is about a 4/5 and I needed a 7 and a 10. These here are size 10 and I added length to get them to the knee.

The thing I love about these is they are easy and don't take a whole lot of fabric. I am in the process of making size 7 and have been able to use scraps from project left overs.

Wrap skirt

This is a wrap skirt I made for the big girls, SO cute! I hope one of them wears it to church on Sunday!

Check out these little cuties!

I have to say they don't look real good on the hanger but I didn't have a model home when I took these picts. They are cute knee length skirts. They were so easy I have to many a few.
Under this one is a black with small white polka dot fabric, very cute! This blue and green one has a little longer bottom piece that I have to say I don't like as well as the others. Very cute fabric thou!

The pink one has a orange with white polka dot under, also very cute!

This Jumper is made from light weight corduroy with a gray background with the pink and purple hearts. It turned out SO cute! Here are a pair of Halloween Twirl Pants. I think they turned out SO fun and can't wait for the girls to see them!

I have to thank my cousin Sharlee for picking out the spider webs for the pants. I just love them!

Here are my most recent things with my New to me sewing machine!

Now that school is back in and I have a new sewing machine I am back in action! Here are tiered skirts I made, one for the little girls and 1 for the big girls! I love the way they turned out and they were SUPER easy! Another purse, orange and multi color, really pretty cute in real life!
This one is pretty mellow, brown and a green blue.

Twirl pants that Kodie wanted, she even picked out the material!

These I LOVE! They just look like summer to me! These were a spendy pair of pants but I think they'll be worth it!

These little twirl pants are size 1/2 so they should fit 12-18mos, there SO cute!

So here are the ruffle bum pants I've been wanting to make!!

Look at my sassy little girl in her cute new pants! I found this pattern on the web site http://www.youcanmakethis.com/
The same lady also designed the twirl pants that I have made tons of! This pattern is a little more intailed. They definatly take longer to make than the twirl pants but I think they'll be worth it!

Check out all the ruffles!

Baileys Dress

Here is a dress that I started for Bailey in the middle of June and it literally sat in the sewing machine for 3 weeks or more. I finally took it out when one of the Elders needed a hole fixed in his shorts. I then decided to take my sewing machine in to get a little tune up because it needed it and because I knew I wouldn't be using it anytime soon. Well I got terrible news, the machine I've had for 14 years was not fixable. I really was devastated as funny as that sounds but it has really rattled me. I now have to get a new machine and figure out how to use a new machine. At the time I am employing my mothers machine so it is getting a little more love than it is used to! This dress is ankle length and looks SO cute on her. When I took these picts she was already in bed so here it is on the hanger!
