A few things I've had a chance to make

So here are a few of the things I've made in between having all the fun with my kids this summer.

At the request of my friend I made these burp cloths for her niece who will be having her baby in August.  They are terry cloth on one side and flannel on the other.  Very cute and absorbent.

These are some hair clips I've been working on.  I have been buying remnants of lining or other polyester material.  Singe the edges and wa-la!

These are some pajama pants that I made for my friends little girl while they were in town.  I love the ruffles at the bottom.  They should be SO cute.

The Bathroom paint is finished

So I finished painting the bathroom today!!  I love small projects that you can see the end of.  I have had paint for my living room for at least 6 mos and still haven't painted because I envision the ciaos that will happen when all the furniture has to be moved to the center and the kids want to go in and out, it's just too much for my brain to take in, but this little bathroom I can do!

So turquoise is a hot color this year and I thought this bathroom could handle it because it has no window so it's pretty dark.  I found an oops paint at Walmart that was just the color I way lookin for!  I love it!!

I hung the medallion I bought a few weeks ago and spray painted, it looks good in there!

My plan is to accent this with white, yellow and a touch of some red.  I need to find me a shelf to put above the toilet to give that wall a little more interest.  Maybe something with a towel bar and do some yellow towels.  So fun decorating, I love it!!

So what do ya think of the color...

So here is the color I picked for the bathroom.  I just had to throw some on the wall to get the idea but Monday I will get it all done! 

I REALLY like it!

Bathroom makeover

I know this isn't exactly something I made but it's something I am up to and I'm sure there will be some stuff that I make put into it.  So we have this crazy guest bath that has no window and this UGLY wall paper. So I am taking down the wallpaper boarder and painting it turquoise.  I think it will brighten it up a bit!

And here is a picture of the bathroom.  It's just that small so I will update you on the progress of the bathroom as I finish it.

Spray paint extravaganza

So I was inspired by Becky Higgins to spray paint some things to give them new life.  A few of these things I picked up at a few thrift stores and a few I got at Hobby Lobby for 80% off!

After, in yellow.  It currently is sitting on the back of the guest bathroom toilet and it will stay in that bathroom, just not sure where and with what in it.

I found this cute little iron doo hicky at Hobby Lobby, I've been looking to put something above the front door but I will be painting the living room and entry way with a light tan color and the white would just blend right in

After, it matches the red wall we have in the living room that will stay.  I love the little heart shape that it is.

Pool Princess from last summer

I found the jackpot of free scrappin stuff so I threw this page together today.  I LOVE the gems at the bottom.  I'll get this figured out with time. I'm still learning Photoshop so that's half my problem!
