Carmel Apples

So I have never made carmel apples this fancy before but I thought I'd give it a try and with homemade carmel to boot.  I found this carmel recipe here.
So I dipped the apples in carmel and then rolled half in nuts.

All dipped in chocolate.

Dipped in chocolate and strung a little white chocolate over the top to fancy them up.

All wrapped up and ready for giving!

Here is what they look like cut in half and ready to eat.

So I have been working away to get many different projects done.  I have done everything from greeting card, to scrapbook pages and a little sewing thrown in the mix.  I just haven't been taking pictures.  I promise that sometime tomorrow I will get some pictures up so that you can see just what I have been doing!  Lots of exciting stuff!!

Thrift Store Apothecary Jars...

So some where in the blogosphere I found this idea to make regular ol' jars and candle sticks into apothecary jars.  So these three little jars were screaming for me to take them home.  Then I went looking for candle sticks and found the 2 beauties shown here.

 Add a little of this
and you'll get...

 THIS!
And they only cost me $11 which is probably less than one of the real thing!
So the little one is still looking for it's candle stick, I'm thinking something about 4 inches high.  These will be used in my Halloween decor!

A couple things I made during conference weekend

So if any of you know me you know that I can't just sit and watch TV, I have to be doing something with my hands too, so since it was conference weekend I had to have something to do and this is what it was.
I made this cute dress that I have been SO excited about because of the owl fabric.

You can sorta see the clip that matches it in her hair.

Here is the circle skirt that I found fabric for a couple weeks ago.  It's fairly easy and I think looks pretty cute!

There is also a bow that I could put on it and looking at it now I think it needs it.  It's a little plain looking where the loop to pull up the top skirt.  What do you think?

Here is the fabric a little closer so you can get a better idea.  I think it the other ones you couldn't tell the zebra stripe had pink with it!

Here it finally is!!

A couple weeks ago I teased you all with a hair clip with the fabric I would be using for my next project.  Well I finally finished it and it's as cute as I was hoping it would be!

Front view
This is a halter dress that ties at the neck but because we are all about modesty we have the shrug that goes right along with it!!

Side view
My little model was very concerned that you got a view from all angles!
